Durch die Ausstellung wird die komplexe, so genannte „West-Ost-Beziehung“ thematisiert, welche durch den aktuellen Krieg in der Ukraine auf eine neue Ebene übergegangen ist. „West-Ost“ Dissonanz zeigt sich besonders im postsowjetischen Raum, zu dem Georgien gehört. Die georgische Künstler*innengruppe Group Bouillon reflektiert in ihren Arbeiten Entwicklungen in Gesellschaft und Politik in Georgien und weltweit, die sich auf die Kultur des Sowjetimperiums zurückbeziehen. Eine Auswahl aktueller Arbeiten wird im Blech gezeigt mit dem Ziel darüber mit dem Publikum in Austausch zu kommen und einen Prozess des Nachdenkens anzuregen.

The exhibition addresses the complex, so-called „West-East” relationship, which has reached a new level as a result of the current war in Ukraine. „West-East“ dissonance is particularly evident in the post-Soviet space, to which Georgia belongs. In their works, the Georgian artists’ collective Group Bouillon reflects developments in society and politics in Georgia and worldwide that are connected to the culture of the Soviet empire. The selection of current works will be showcased in Blech Art Space with the aim of engaging the audience and stimulating a reflective process.
